Happy Mother's Pie Day!

Today, in celebration of Mother's Day, I made a pie, because, after all, what more can describe my mom and my relationship better than pie?
The answer is nothing!

So I decided to experiment. And I made my very FIRST custard pie all by myself. And let me tell you something, it is one stressful pie to make at time. It has a very liquidy inside when you put it in the pan and it fills the pie shell to the brim, so naturally, being the klutz that I am, I spilled some in the heated oven.

See how liquidy that is? ---->

This is what I had to put in the oven! Ahhh!

I had to clean the oven. Grr! But after all of that worrisome business, I got the pie in without too much damage. 20 minutes later, I had to spin it around so that both sides got the same amount of cook-ness (wow...) 20 minutes LATER, and it comes out semi-beautifully!

Ta-daah!

This is a proud moment. I am very excited for myself. This is like the first time I made the Lemon-Merengue Pie (you remember THAT, right?). I feel succesful. Who cares if it doesn't taste great? I'm not much of a flan fan myself, but knowing that I made it by myself, I will enjoy it. And I know my mom will too!

Well, well, well,

Cody told me about some drama that I had not known which did include me.

Oh well... I'm fine with it now...

But I am going to make some pasta today and NO I don't mean putting some in hot water and boiling it. I mean really MAKING the pasta and whatnot, THEN making the sauce.
All. From. Scratch.

I'll be meeting up with Joyce in a little bit, then we'll meet up with Maddie Russell and go to Dante's House.

Jack and Tobi will be there; Bailey will meet us there later.

Ooo... my mom just informed me that we will be having MEAT for dinner. Yum!

Well, done for now! Off to vlog!

My Momma

Well, it seems almost obvious that I should write an Ode to my mother...
But I am not in the mood haha so maybe I'll just explain my happiness...

I told her about Christ yesterday and she just... AHHH she just acted like a teenager and everything. She is so awesome!

Then I told her about this other guy today who (apparently) was flirting with me. By the way... she thinks he is AWESOME and she really wants me to like him and she thinks that he likes me...
She said that if he asked me out, then I should definitely say yes.

My mom is so cool. I'm glad I get to be so honest to her. She is basically almost my best friend. And I'm not even embarrassed.

Have to memorize a monologue tonight! That is my deadline... I gotta do it!

Evan Doherty

The boy's got balls... good thing too.

Still feeling a little queasy... I'll need to drink a lot of water tonight and hopefully feel better come the morning.

I had a ridiculously good time last night!

Great Day...

I completely forgot about my issues with Christ (the latest boy code) today and just enjoyed the day.

After Phedre (by the way, it makes a great nap time!), half of the Int. Ones went to Jack in the Box. Yes... I ate fast food. AHHH! I usually only eat In N' Out or Mels... or somewhere else. I don't remember. But Mels isn't really a fast food place... it's a cute American restaurant. Yay!
Picture time!
Good:

Ew:

Anyways, after eating a taco, many fries and a bite out of Cody's burger (which Jeremy gracefully paid for, of course! Oh... by the way the whole "special meal" included one drink, two tacos, fries and a burger... UNDER four dollars...), Harriet, Sergio, Michelle, Jeremy, Kimberly, Scotty, Annie, and I went to Westfield where I yearned for a bigass pretzel... instead my good ol' eating friend Harriet bought a Big Cookie Cake Slice from the Mrs. Fields cookie stand. Beautiful! Then Scotty bought and shared a Monster drink... while we were buying that at Hagen Daaz place, Sha'Kara arrived! Awesome! Then Annie Michelle and Jasmine (who just appeared randomly!) left so that left the six (?) of us... we went to the park by the Loews Theatre.

I'm British at this point...

CUTEST LITTLE BOY called Tame... lovely little boy. Just a delight!

Anyways, we all then (besides Scotty who took Bart home!) jumped (literally) into Bill's car. By the way, Bill is Cody's dad... I don't know why this is so detailed.

Anyways, today was hella fun. And I got mostly everyone to be British today. It was great!

I wonder is british people to American accents... I hope so. Otherwise I feel really stupid. NOT.

So that was my day.
It was cool.

NOW for my other blog's posting!

Lovely lovely love,
Mimi

Sleepy, Grumpy, and...

Well, after a boring Mock Trial meeting (sorry to say that it was very boring), I am planning to make that apple/ ricotta coffee cake. Did I ever tell you that it was... SUPERB? Maybe I didn't... well It was. Hopefully it will turn out just as great!

Oh, when my sister visited, I also made some snickerdoodles. They were perfect... I just wish they weren't gone now.

Tea and Cookies!

So, naturally, when Jasmine arrived, we wanted to eat. So first, we tested out the TeaPosie my aunt gave the family for Christmas. It was actually really cool. Here is a video of Jasmine and I (plus some of my mother :) ) talking about it!

Aren't these instructions funny?

And after that, we took some great photos as we observed the flower bloom!

This is right before we put the hot water in the tea pot!

And this is after. Didn't it turn out beautiful?

And I just thought this photo was adorable! Heehee!

And after this, once again, we wanted to eat something with this tea. We drank out of our family's collection of Jasmine Tea Cups haha.

So we made sugar cookies. We even shaped them!

Ahhh... lovin' the artsy fartsiness of this photo!

Our attempts to making an M and a J for our names... ehhh

Job Hunting!

Lately, I've been thinking about earning money and whatnot, so that I can get into a good college and pay for it. I really want a job, and I really want to go to a good college that I love. This is where the AMC comes in... I just spent, like, half an hour working on an application for it.
I'm worried because I don't have any previous employment, but everyone has to start somewhere, right? And I wouldn't mind starting at a movie theatre. In fact, I think it would be really fun! I like to think that I am good with people (unless they are creepers on the bus), and I like to help.

I need to tell Mr. Rayher that I put him as a reference... eh... I hope he is okay with it.
Anyone know of any places that are hiring 15-year-olds?

Some "Bonding" Time

My father and I took a walk today for the first time in a while. Well, not a very long while considering he has only been home a month, but still. During the beginning of this walk, we stepped in total silence, just listening to our bodies move through the sunny day. Then we started talking, but the walking got more intense (as did my quickly beating heart.) Towards the end of the walk, we talked so much about the important stuff. The family, ourselves, our views, their views, the views that don't matter.
It was very considerate. And I am grateful that I went along with him.

Then some douche in Smart and Final said I had no manners. I called him an asshole and told him to have a nice day.

Christmas Eve

As a tradition, my family opens our stocking presents on Christmas Eve. Wanna see what I got?

I think it's safe to say that my mom knows what I like.

Christmas Day!

Christmas morning began!

Obviously not ALL of us were ready.

After all the presents were opened, we took more photos. Yep!

Here are just some photos of what I got (by the way the sweater I am wearing up there was a present) :)

Harry Potter (#6), Apples to Apples, Coloring book and colored pencils (YEEEE), and then the collection of presents.

Success.

Jasmin-ay's Partay!!!

So last night Harriet, Megan, Sha'Kara, Kimberly and I went over to Jasmine's house. Everything except Kimberly stayed over but Kim had a dentist appointment early in the morning so she couldn't sleep over. Basically, we planned this between Sha'Kara, Jasmine and I and we were going to watch christmas movies all night and just have fun. It turned into a GOSSIP GIRL MARATHON. Haha! Megan and Jasmine had never seen the show before so we took away their GG virginity. It was great. We started at 11 then finally went downstairs at around 6:10 am. Downstairs, Sha'Kara Megan and I slept on the same mattress and just talked about a lot until about 7:30 while Jasmine and Harriet passed out on the other mattress haha. We finally fell asleep after realizing that Megan had to wake up at 8:30 for a doctor's appointment.
Shakks and I woke up at 2:15. Smooth move I know. So then Harriet left, leaving all of this scrumptulous food to us three. We devoured it. A LOT of food was eaten. We planned to leave at 5:30... but because our timing isn't totally spot on, we left 40 minutes later. Just in time for my mom to check up on me!

All in all, we had a great sleepover. Next year, a soiree because "sleepovers are SO sophomore year" as Blair would say.

That time of the year again!

My mom starting up the lights!

Christmas tree (which I did while my parents took their after-dinner walk!) along with stockings and presents. Doesn't it just LOOK christmas-y?

Presents! Yay haha

Gotta show the tree some lovin'!

Corny Trip to the Corner Store

So, my dad went out to take a walk right when it stopped raining in my neighborhood. It didn't rain his entire walk so I thought it was safe to walk to the corner store a block away in boxer shorts, knee high socks, and a rain jacket. So I walked to the store then my dad walked by me and I told him that I was going to the store. He was chill. So I went to the store and it wasn't raining. It took forever to choose the right gum (for Chemistry) and so when I got it and walked out, it had started pouring. So there I was in a short-sleeved shirt, a jacket zipped down, some short shorts and I started sprinting home. Needless to say, I got soaking wet.
It was great.

I just followed a bunch of strangers' blogs that I found extremely interesting. Especially fictional blogs. So much fun!
I want to find some personal blogs (much like mine has become)... I like knowing how lives for other people my age are going.

Chemistry!

I did chemistry by myself! And I knew what I was doing. Yay!!! :)

I am listening to my dad's very odd and redundant music, but I don't mind. I am in a relaxed mode, even if my friends do hate me.

Sonnet! Yay!

I chose a sonnet today. Sonnet 144:

Two loves I have, of comfort and despair,
Which, like two spirits, do suggest me still;
The better angel is a man right fair,
The worser spirit a woman colored ill.
To win me soon to hell, my female evil
Tempteth my better angel from my side,
And would corrupt my saint to be a devil,
Wooing his purity with her foul pride.
And whether that my angel be turned fiend
Suspect I may, but not directly tell;
But being both from me both to each friend,
I guess one angel in another’s hell.
Yet this shall I ne'er know, but live in doubt,
Till my bad angel fire my good one out.

This is pretty much what it means:

I love two people. One comforts me and the other makes me despair. Like two spirits both constantly point me in different directions. The better angel is a beautiful, fair-haired man. The bad one is an evil-looking woman. To help put me in hell sooner, my evil female tempts my angel away from my side. She hopes to make my saint into a devil, seducing him to impure acts in her foul and self-assured way. And though I can suspect him, there’s no way I can tell directly whether my angel has turned into a fiend. But since the two of them are away from me and friendly with each other, I’m guessing that one angel is inside the other—and in hell with her. Yet I’ll never know this for sure, instead living in doubt until my bad angel fires the good one out of hell.
