Some "Bonding" Time

My father and I took a walk today for the first time in a while. Well, not a very long while considering he has only been home a month, but still. During the beginning of this walk, we stepped in total silence, just listening to our bodies move through the sunny day. Then we started talking, but the walking got more intense (as did my quickly beating heart.) Towards the end of the walk, we talked so much about the important stuff. The family, ourselves, our views, their views, the views that don't matter.
It was very considerate. And I am grateful that I went along with him.

Then some douche in Smart and Final said I had no manners. I called him an asshole and told him to have a nice day.

I LOVE how you ended this post.
Oh mimi
and I'm very glad you had a walk with him

I hike with my dad sometimes. Actually, I don't anymore, BUT when I did it was nice. It's almost as if a daddy-force field thins when I walk with him.
